WHATIS THE BEST COLOR TO WEAR in your Passport Photo
Although Passport Photos are just straightforward headshots, what color you wear can bring out the best in your photo.
Also, we'll cover what accessories you can't wear, too.
1) WHAT TO WEAR ( and what NOT to Wear)
- BEST COLOR(S):
- Dark colors; like Black or Navy Blue.
- Red produces a nice pop-effect to your photo.
- If you can help it, AVOID white.
- DO WEAR: Casual daily wear, including t-shirt or dresses, blouse or a tie for an always presentable photo.
- DON'T WEAR:
- Uniform or Military Camouflages.
- Glasses
- Headbands or Hats
2) NICE HAIRSTYLES
A a fresh haircut or a good hairstyle can greatly improve your passport photo, as long as it is styled away from your face and does NOT cover your eye brows or eyes and your hair can NOT obstruct any part of your face.
TIP: Keep in mind that if your wear your hair down, you may be asked to expose your ears for the photo. A tight ponytail is fine and bangs are okay as long as they do NOT cover your eyes.
3) THE NATURAL FACELIFT
Passport Photos are just head to shoulders. The way you hold yourself can make a massive difference in how you will look in your passport photo.

Neutral/Natural Smile with both eyes open. Mouth closed. A wide grin with teeth showing and eyes squinting will most likely be rejected.
Sit or stand up straight and pull your shoulders back. This will give you a natural "facelift" by simply improving your posture.
You cannot wear anything that will obstruct your face in a passport photo, including masks, hats, glasses, sun glasses, or earphones. They are unacceptable.
Hat and caps are unacceptable. However, Head Coverings for religious purposes are acceptable as long as it does NOT cover any past of your face.
Permanent piercings are allowed (ears, nose, eyebrow, etc). You just can't wear jewelry that hides your face. Keep the accessories simple.
Permanent tattoos are okay for passport photos.
